Postpartum Care Nurturing Families After Birth
The weeks following birth are a time of transformation, healing, and adjustment. While the focus is often on pregnancy and labor, the postpartum period is…
Providing holistic, judgment-free care for every stage of your journey.
Stephanie Webbe is a DONA-certified doula, licensed massage therapist, American Red Cross CPR instructor, and MassHealth-approved provider serving families in Boston and the surrounding areas. She began her doula journey in 2006 as a Birth Sister at Boston Medical Center. Since then, she has expanded her training and services to include infant massage, Lamaze, and lactation consulting. With a background in wellness and therapy, Stephanie brings a holistic and compassionate approach to her doula work.
Alanna Anderson, Stephanie’s daughter, is also a DONA International-certified doula and MassHealth-approved provider. Alanna focuses on supporting younger birthing people, particularly those who may feel stigmatized or unheard. Her advocacy for teenage and young adult mothers ensures that this population receives affirming, respectful, and empowering support.
Together, Stephanie and Alanna bring intergenerational wisdom, compassion, and care to every family they serve.
Pregnancy, childbirth, and early postpartum are some of the most sacred and transformative seasons of a family’s life. But navigating these moments doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or isolating. With the right support, you can feel grounded, informed, and emotionally held through each step of your journey.
Boston is home to a strong and diverse doula community—but every family deserves care that feels personal, culturally aligned, and centered on their needs. As a certified, MassHealth-approved doula serving Boston and the surrounding communities, our goal at Webbe Doula is to provide warm, nurturing, and judgment-free support that helps you feel confident, connected, and empowered before, during, and after birth.
This guide will help you understand the types of doula support available in Boston, the unique benefits of doula care, and how to choose the provider who aligns best with your family’s needs.

Families who qualify for MassHealth can receive doula support without additional financial stress. Private-pay options are also available for families who want extended, specialized, or continuous support.
When choosing a doula in Boston, consider:
Do they feel emotionally safe and nurturing?
Are they experienced with your birth preferences?
Do they support your cultural, spiritual, or emotional needs?
Are they comfortable supporting partners, teens, or single parents?
Do they offer MassHealth or private-pay options?
